Registration Special Needs Camp
To ensure you have the most comfortable festival experience possible, we want to make sure there is enough space in the Special Needs Camp and sufficient sanitary facilities.
Therefore, registration is mandatory to use the Special Needs Camp. You can find the registrations for the Special Needs Camp soon here. Registrations close two weeks before the event starts. Late registration is not possible. Please note that registrations may also close earlier once the camp is full.
Please note that you can only use the camp, both for camping and parking there, if you have registered with us in advance. -
Entry
You have registered yourself and your friends for the Special Needs Camp? Then all of you come together to one of our counters. There you will receive your festival wristbands, the car pass, and further information.
Note: You and your friends all need your own festival pass and your own REGULAR camping pass – with the exception of the free accompanying person.
We recommend the counter in Westervesede, which is accessible at ground level and has parking spaces.
If you arrive by train in Scheeßel, you can also go to the counter at Ticket Office/Wristbands West. However, this is located on a meadow, there is no paved path, and you cannot reach it by car.
If you do NOT want to stay overnight or park at the Special Needs Camp but are bringing a free accompanying person, you can come to any of our entrances and receive your festival wristbands there. Just bring your ticket and your disability ID card with you. Please note that we can only check in your accompanying person together with you if you arrive together.

Special Needs Camp
To make the festival experience as comfortable as possible for our guests with disabilities, we have established the "Special Needs Camp". To use this service, it is necessary to complete our registration form under the "Registration" section. You can bring up to three additional friends with a valid festival pass and REGULAR camping pass to the "Special Needs Camp" alongside your companion. This means a total group size of up to five people is allowed. To recharge your medical and electronic aids, there is also an electrical outlet at the "Special Needs Camp". The nearest socket may be somewhat further away, so please bring an outdoor-suitable extension cable (50 m).* Please note that the "Special Needs Camp" is explicitly a voluntary service for our guests with disabilities.
Of course, you are welcome to camp in the regular areas. However, please note that there is only limited disabled-accessible sanitary provision and no electrical outlets. The distances may also be relatively long.
*Please note that we can only provide electricity (240 volts) up to the distribution point, which may be up to 50 m away from your tent site. Use is strictly permitted only for charging medically necessary devices. For safety reasons, we must limit the maximum power of each socket to 1,000 watts. The electricity is generated locally and is therefore susceptible to disturbances and voltage fluctuations. We accept no liability for the use of the power source or for any damage to devices caused by voltage fluctuations or outages. We reserve the right to interrupt the power supply temporarily for safety reasons during extreme weather conditions.

PLATIN Lounge
Our PLATIN Lounge consists of two floors, which are connected by a staircase. In front of the lounge, there is a lift that provides step-free access to the second floor.
This area is partly covered with wood chips.
There is no accessible restroom facility in this area. -
Festival Site
The Hurricane Festival takes place outdoors on meadows and fields. The site may be sandy, muddy, or stony in some areas.
On the event site (infield), cable ramps are laid in certain places. We strive to lay flatter cable ramps on the main paths to make your routes more comfortable, but this is not possible everywhere on the site. However, there is usually always an alternative route to avoid cable ramps.
-
Platforms
In front of the Forest, River, and Mountain Stages, you will find a platform for wheelchair users and people with dwarfism, each with a maximum of one companion. The platform is accessible via a ramp. Access to the platforms is limited. This ensures that only those who truly need them can use them. If you require access to the platforms, please indicate this when registering for the Special Needs Camp or contact our service team. In close proximity to the platforms, you will also find wheelchair-accessible mobile toilets, available to our Special Needs Camp guests regardless of the type of disability.
-
Sanitary Facilities
At the "Special Needs Camp" you will find an accessible sanitary station. It features step-free access, a spacious flush toilet, and a low-barrier shower. These low-barrier shower/toilet combinations are equipped with a Euro lock. So remember to bring your Euro key.
At the regular campsites, you will find a wheelchair-accessible mobile toilet at each sanitary camp. On the infield, the wheelchair-accessible mobile toilets are located on the platforms in front of the Green and Blue Stages. These mobile toilets are wheelchair accessible at ground level and are slightly larger to allow for transfer to/from the wheelchair. -
Medications
You can easily bring your medications with you to the festival. A medical certificate confirming the necessity ensures that you can bring prescription medications onto the festival and event grounds.
Medications that need to be kept refrigerated can be handed over to the medical staff in the first aid tents. Your medications will be stored safely there for you.
-
Light Effects
It is possible that strobe and light effects are used in the shows, which can cause epileptic seizures in some people.
-
On-site Information
For festival guests with and without disabilities, we offer a telephone information service during the festival. If you need information or assistance during the festival and the information point is too far away, you are welcome to call the support hotline (+49 (0) 800 444 2014). Our team will then attend to your request as quickly as possible.
-
Safety
Our security team is here to assist you with advice and support. If for any reason you feel uncomfortable or need help, please feel free to approach our staff, who can be recognised by their red vests. In addition, paramedics are on site and can assist you at any time. In a medical emergency, call 112 – if you do not have a mobile phone, ask someone else to make the emergency call, or speak to a member of the security team. If you feel uneasy or overwhelmed, you can also ask our staff for "Panama" at any time or contact our Panama guides directly.
