Camping & Sanitary Facilities

Since 2011, the camping area “Hurricane Park” has been available, where greater emphasis is placed on waste reduction and a quieter atmosphere. This area has been continuously growing. With the “mein-zelt-steht-schon” service, you can rent tents and camping equipment and camp in a more resource-efficient way, as intact equipment is reused.

Since 2014, in addition to water-flushed toilets, dry toilets from Goldeimer have also been available. These operate without water or chemicals; instead, sawdust is used to bind odors and ensure hygienic use. The collected contents are processed into high-quality humus fertilizer at the Goldeimer composting facility in the Lüneburger Heide. In addition, Goldeimer supports access to clean water and sanitation worldwide with the proceeds from their work. Due to the size of the festival, we are not yet able to fully switch to dry toilets, but we are continuously working on further improvements.
