TRASHOLUTION
Trasholution is our waste challenge with added social value. Separating festival waste and disposing of it correctly not only helps the environment, but also supports important projects in the region.
Here's how it works:
Collect your waste separately in the bin bags provided and hand it in at the recycling islands or directly to the waste collection service. For every full bin bag handed in, we donate €1 to social projects in the festival region. If you hand in a bin bag with sorted packaging waste, we will double the donation - €2 will go to a good cause! The more carefully you sort, the more can be recycled and the greater the joint impact. The donations collected will be distributed evenly among the projects so that everyone benefits from your contribution and receives the support they need.
And the best thing is: if you hand in your waste, you have the chance to win festival tickets for next year! Simply scan the QR code at the recycling islands or at the garbage collection point after you have dropped off your bag - you will also find all further information about the campaign there.

These are this year's donation projects:
Rat&Tat – Zentrum für queeres Leben e.V. from Bremen – 3000 €
Rat&Tat - Zentrum für queeres Leben e.V. is once again planning the Queer Beach Festival in Bremen for 2025 - a free, open cultural and meeting festival for the LGBTIQ* community and its supporters. The festival is organized on a voluntary basis and enables queer visibility, cultural participation and empowerment - regardless of financial barriers. The donations are to be used specifically for queer artists' fees, equipment hire, materials for hands-on activities (e.g. screen printing), awareness structures, catering for helpers and public relations work. The project is clearly localized, needs-oriented, promotes diversity and strengthens social cohesion. It combines low-threshold cultural offerings with social commitment and sends a strong signal for queer participation and visibility in the region.

Rehkitzrettung - 3000 €
The fawn rescue organization is committed to saving fawns from being mown. The donations are used to purchase thermal imaging drones and the necessary accessories, including batteries and charging cases. The thermal imaging drones can be used to detect fawns in tall grass and thus significantly improve the fawns' chances of survival during the harvesting season.
Wildwasser counseling center against sexualized violence Rotenburg - 3000 €
The Wildwasser counselling centre advises children, young people and adult women who have experienced sexualized violence. They find protection, support and new perspectives in the rooms. However, there are not enough funds for larger projects - the donations will be used to offer WenDo courses for girls, queer young people and mother-daughter teams in the district of Rotenburg. WenDo is self-defense and self-assertion. Participants learn to set boundaries, say no and trust their feelings - against harassment, boundary violations or violence. “Only yes means yes.” The advice center wants to reinforce this message - with courses that really make a difference.

Tierschutzverein Rotenburg - 3000 €
Tierschutzverein für den Landkreis Rotenburg (Wümme) e.V. runs the Rotenburg animal shelter in Mulmshorn and is fully committed to the protection and placement of animals in need. In 2022, 277 found and surrendered animals were taken in, of which 198 were successfully placed in new homes. A dedicated team of full-time and volunteer employees as well as the animal welfare youth group “TiJu” support the daily work. The donations are intended to help cover the sharp rise in veterinary costs in order to ensure the best possible medical care for the animals. In addition, there are ongoing high costs for cat litter and special food - especially for animals with special needs such as diabetes or food intolerances.
Schulförderverein Scheeßel - 3000 €
The donation will support the “Creating diversity” project. The project raises awareness among primary school children in Scheeßel about the loss of insects and habitats and promotes active nature conservation. Together with the children, flower strips with regional seeds are planted on species-poor areas to create a habitat and food supply for wild and honey bees, butterflies and other insects. The project teaches children about ecological relationships, strengthens knowledge of species and environmental awareness and involves local stakeholders such as an organic farmer. It combines environmental education with practical implementation in the sense of education for sustainable development - locally anchored, with a long-term effect on nature and society.
