TRASHOLUTION
Trasholution is our waste challenge with added social value. Separating festival waste and disposing of it correctly not only helps the environment, but also supports important projects in the region.
Here's how it works:
Collect your waste separately in the bin bags provided and hand it in at the recycling islands or directly to the waste collection service. For every full bin bag handed in, we donate €1 to social projects in the festival region. If you hand in a bin bag with sorted packaging waste, we will double the donation - €2 will go to a good cause! The more carefully you sort, the more can be recycled and the greater the joint impact. The donations collected will be distributed evenly among the projects so that everyone benefits from your contribution and receives the support they need.
And the best thing is: if you hand in your waste, you have the chance to win festival tickets for next year! Simply scan the QR code at the recycling islands or at the garbage collection point after you have dropped off your bag - you will also find all further information about the campaign there.

These are this year's donation projects:
Wildwasser-Beratungsstelle gegen sexualisierte Gewalt Rotenburg
Donations support counseling and assistance services for children, adolescents, and adults who have experienced sexual violence. The funds are used to finance prevention efforts, one-on-one support, and protection and assistance services for survivors. In addition, the funds help ensure that educational initiatives and vital support networks in the region remain in place.
NABU Rotenburg
The donations will support the construction of a new bog garden at the MEGa interactive and nature experience garden in Rotenburg. Visitors can explore typical raised bog plants there and learn more about climate and nature conservation. The project helps to convey knowledge about bogs, biodiversity, and rewetting in a vivid and engaging way.
Tierschutzverein Rotenburg
Donations support the care and welfare of animals in need in the Rotenburg district. They help fund food, medical care, shelter, and treatment for abandoned or injured animals. The funds also help facilitate adoptions and vital animal welfare work in the region.
Hospizarbeit Fidelius
The donations support Fidelius’s grief counseling services for children and young people in Rotenburg (Wümme). They fund grief support groups, individual counseling, and creative programs and activities for affected families. The funds also enable training for volunteers and ensure the sustainability of this work, which is entirely funded by donations.
Förderverein der Stadtschule Rotenburg
The donations will support the expansion of the school garden at Stadtschule Rotenburg (Wümme). Plans include new raised beds and the purchase of gardening tools to further integrate sustainable learning into the school’s daily routine. The project enables students to experience nature, environmental protection, and climate protection in a hands-on way and to actively help shape these efforts.
