Victims of crime/violence

• Weisser Ring Rotenburg (Wümme): For the entire district of Rotenburg (Wümme), they are the contact persons for victim assistance and crime prevention. The trained volunteers offer competent and targeted help. This is free of charge and, if desired, anonymous.
• Landkreis Rotenburg (Wümme) Counselling and Intervention Centre: Women and men affected in the district of Rotenburg (Wümme) can receive counselling and support from the BISS (Counselling and Intervention Centre for Domestic Violence) by telephone or in a personal conversation with experienced professionals. 

Sexual assault/harassment 

• The Wildwasser counselling centre offers people who have been affected by sexualised violence the support and accompaniment they need in a protected environment. Together, they consider which form of support seems sensible and helpful.

Victims of violence/crime 

• The Bremer Weißer Ring e.V. offers comprehensive help for people who have been affected by crime. It supports those affected, politically campaigns for the interests of victims and is committed to crime prevention.

Sexual assault/harassment 

• Schattenriss e.V. runs the specialist counselling centre against sexualised violence, which provides qualified and professional counselling for girls* affected by sexualised violence, even if they suspect it, as well as for women^* who have experienced sexualised violence in their childhood or youth. 
• The Bremen helpline is a counselling centre for victims of sexualised violence aged 14 and over, where they can talk about what they have experienced in a protected environment and clarify questions, e.g. about criminal or therapeutic issues, in a joint discussion. 

Help explicitly for young people

• The AfJ e.V. Kinder- und Jugendhilfe Bremen is a free, non-profit organisation. For over fourty years, they have been committed to children, adolescents and young adults - with offers in outpatient and inpatient educational assistance, youth support and in the form of innovative projects.

Help explicitly for men

• Young men^* up to the age of 27 are welcome at the Bremen Boys' Office. They offer support in the case of experiences of violence; regardless of whether this is being experienced now or was experienced some time ago.

Help explicitly for women 

• Gewalt gegen Frauen Bremen is a contact point for women and girls who experience or have experienced violence. As a rule, women work here: They are social educators, social workers, psychologists or pedagogues. They know what it means to experience violence and what can be helpful. 
• The Mädchenhaus Bremen counselling and advice centre offers girls^* and young women^* up to the age of 27 the opportunity to receive counselling anonymously, free of charge and without long waiting times from therapeutically trained professionals^*. They advise girls^* on all topics and, depending on their needs, with varying frequency.

LGBTIQ*

• The Rat&Tat-Zentrum für queeres Leben e.V. offers information and counselling for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans^*, inter^*gender and queer people. It advises on a variety of things in this context, as well as on queer offers locally and beyond. 

General psychological help

• On the website of the Bremen Chamber of Psychotherapists you can find a list of counselling services in the city of Bremen. The aim is to give an overview of the diverse counselling offers and to help with finding the right offer. In addition, help is available in finding a psychotherapist.

Victims of violence/crime

• Opferhilfe Hamburg is a professional crisis counselling centre for adults who are current or past victims of a crimes or accidents. They offer psychological counselling by medical and psychological psychotherapists.

Sexual assault/harassment 

• The Dolle Deerns e.V. counselling centre advises sexually abused girls and young women and their female caregivers and confidants.
• Opferhilfe Hamburg offers counselling and psychotherapeutic help for people after current or long-standing experience of sexual violence.

Help explicitly for young people

• Zornrot e.V. supports young people who are or have been confronted with sexualised violence. They offer children and young people of all sexes up to the age of 27 a shelter where they can talk about what they have experienced, stabilise themselves and get information.

Help explicitly for men

• Basis Praevent's counselling services are aimed at boys* and men* who have been victims of sexual violence. The association uses the asterisk* after boys* and men* to reflect social diversity. Sometimes victims develop several separate personalities or "I's". Counselling is also provided in this regard.

Help explicitly for women 

• The specialised counselling centre of the Notruf für vergewaltigte Frauen und Mädchen e.V. supports women and girls who have been affected by rape, who are threatened by rape or who have experienced attempted rape. Victims of other forms of sexualised violence - such as sexual coercion or sexual harassment - can also turn to the specialised counselling centre of the Women's Emergency Hotline.
• The three biff counselling centres in Hamburg offer counselling and information for women in difficult life situations, regardless of age, income, origin or sexual orientation.

LGBTIQ*

• The Magnus Hirschfeld Centrum offers a variety of services for gays, lesbians, bisexuals and trans*. The counselling centre provides professional support for all questions and problems related to sexual identity and orientation.

General psychological help

• Caritas in Hamburg offers general social counselling and a telephone counselling service for those seeking help with psychological problems.
• The website of the Chamber of Psychotherapists provides information that gives a first overview regarding the topic of psychotherapy and gives advice on what to do if you are looking for professional treatment. 
• The team of the psychodiagnostic counselling practice in Hamburg draws on their experience in couples counselling, family law psychological assessment and/or career counselling in their work, depending on their own focus, so that a diverse background knowledge can be used for the discussions. At the end of the session, clear and realistic goals will be worked out in a way that suits the individual - without overwhelming demands.
